Choices by Pixelberry Studios is a 2D-drawn-game focusing around narrative development. Choices consists of Adventure, Horror, Romance, Youth Adult, and continues adding and updating stories. Each game has books and chapters. Players can access each new chapter of a story with a key that regenerates every few hours, but only regenerates a maximum of two keys then freezes until one of the two keys are put to use. Each story has a varying beginning and ending; some chapters of stories begin with a map, introduction, and update; other chapters of stories simply begin the chapter; etc.

Choices requires players to make decisions to effectively progress. Each story provides a different set of choices due to each story's differing circumstances. The drawings are decent and do add to the character's emotions and sets the settings with the narratives accordingly.

Decisions players make will determine their special traits that may affect the development of the story (in some instances as with the character-story developments within The Crown & The Flame). Yet, some decisions cost real cash, or a lot of playing time. After completing a chapter, players receive a diamond which helps unlock special decisions. If a player wants to make a particular special decision: a player may play other chapters in other stories until earning enough diamonds for a special decision of their choice (--in their current-main story with the special decision a player has been saving up for).

Chapters end with a prodding suggestion and players are given a choice to play a chapter again or continue on. Players can purchase diamonds and keys. The music and sound effects constantly vary depending on the story and working themes. As a player of classic games that require players to read text in dialogue boxes, I do appreciate the concepts at work within Choices. I really appreciate the reading element.
Game on,
